RASOPTA participation on Aqua2024 Copenhagen
At Aqua2024, which was held from August 26-30 2024, RASOPTA together with two other ITN projects EATFISH and EASYTRAIN had invested in a booth to collectively show the conference participants what all three ITNS were working on with regard to aquaculture.
Each of the three projects presented a poster at the booth (the RASOPTA poster can be seen at the end of this document), and a poster was also designed that included all three projects. ESRs were always present at the booth to engage with interested parties.
Ten out of 12 ESRs from RASOPTA participated in this conference and 8 out of 10 had oral presentations.
The outcome of our joint event included outreach and sharing of results to the industry and science community, commercial players, civil society and policymakers as well as visibility for our project, discussions, interactions and a much closer network between the ITNs. At the end of the conference Detmer Sipkema representing all three projects delivered an oral presentation on training of ESRs.
